DELUDE YOURSELF INTO HEROISM
Despair has ravaged the citizens of the Model City. Jobs don’t pay enough to get you through the month, cars get totaled in lake-deep pot holes, and the police are more dangerous than the criminals they apprehend. But don’t worry, the Mayor has a solution: ASPIRE, a supplement that brings out your inner, stronger self to help pull you up by your bootstraps and get back on that hustle!
Just don’t take too many at once, it might turn you into a mutant monster.
Some, however, are delusional enough to think that they can fix the problems of this world. Granted fantastical power by an inter-dimensional robot deity, these people use their differing life experiences to defeat the Despairoids ravaging the lives of others.
Tokuman, aka Troy Ryder, is the first of these heroes to arise in this world. Once a gas station attendant with a degree and rhetoric, Troy becomes a flamboyant and colorful force of resistance against the corrupt powers of the Model City. But is it enough to punch the monsters that the system creates, or can he affect change on a deeper, more permanent level?
HERO COMPLEX is an ongoing independent comic book that takes heavy inspiration from Japanese Tokusatsu entertainment and classic American comic books. No AI is used in any part of the creation of this series.

Cassandra Douglas never paid much attention to the world beyond her family farm in the land once known as North Dakota. After all, news of turmoil in space, starvation in Africa, and arguments in congress never affected her much.
That was until a terrorist crashed a giant golden robot into a field near her house. And her father wants to treat him like a house guest.
With Immigration Control bearing down upon them, Cass and her family find their only choice to be one of flight. But the Caladrius is more than a standard LiteWing Frame. Now equipped with a source of untested power, Cass must come to terms with the bleak realities of a world filled with giant robots, fascist governments, and eternally-warring classes, and then try to come up with a solution to it all.
